Call for Editors

Are you passionate about democratizing knowledge and amplifying diverse voices in political science? Join us in our mission to make quality research more accessible and promote diverse perspectives in the field.

As an independent journal, IAPSS Politikon aims to bridge the gap between emerging scholars and the wider academic community.

We are currently seeking new Editors to help guide our publication and contribute to this important endeavor.

Position Details:

• One-year term
• Unpaid volunteer work
• Must maintain IAPSS membership throughout the editorial collaboration

Editor Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement editorial strategy aligned with IAPSS goals and Politikon's mission
• Manage editorial process: commissioning articles, editing, overseeing peer-review, maintaining publication schedule
• Ensure content quality, accuracy, style, and tone
• Build relationships with authors and reviewers, providing guidance and feedback
• Contribute to promotion strategies, including social media, email marketing, and partnerships

Ideal Candidates:

• PhD or MA student, or early career scholar in Political Science or related field
• Strong writing and editing skills with publication record
• Social media expertise for content promotion
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Commitment to IAPSS goals: promoting Political Science education and international dialogue
