Abstract

Foreign policy of any country is not simply an assemblage of the policy statements of a country, but it also refers to the commitments, the current form of interests, aims and objectives of a government. Thus, in order to understand the foreign policy of any government it becomes vital to understand the country’s national interests and the strategies adopted to achieve it. It has already been proved several times that no government is able to formulate its foreign policy on a clean slate, its policy is always conditioned by its past circumstances.
