Author Biography

Maria Tarasenko, Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Maria Tarasenko is a master’s student in Chinese studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in international studies from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and Kyung Hee University (Seoul, South Korea). Her research interests include contentious politics, state-society relations, and political narratives in contemporary China. Maria’s master's thesis examines forces shaping contemporary policies regarding sexual harassment in China.
