Author Biography

Idris Buta, Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University

Idris Buta, from Jimma (Ethiopia), is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations at Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University. His dissertation focuses on relationships between national identity and regional security. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Addis Ababa University and is a staff member at Jimma University. His interests include the politics of state-building in Africa, national identity of post-colonial states in Africa, ethnic politics and national security, identity conflicts and electoral violence.
